Hi, I'm Shakil Hosen — a student, volunteer, and open knowledge advocate.
I'm currently in my final year of a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Green University of Bangladesh. My thesis research focuses on Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) biosensors, exploring how optical techniques can be used to design sensitive and reliable biosensing systems for real-world applications. Beyond research, I've worked on academic projects involving Arduino-based automation, microprocessor programming, renewable energy systems, and smart access/security technologies. Alongside my studies, I serve as a Wikimedia Steward, entrusted with supporting communities across Wikimedia's global projects. I'm also an administrator on Bangla Wikipedia and Deputy Coordinator of Dhaka Wikimedia Community. Over the years, I've organized writing contests, facilitated workshops, built MediaWiki templates and modules, and developed tools and bots to make collaboration easier. I'm deeply passionate about building a stronger Bangla-language knowledge ecosystem while contributing to Wikimedia's worldwide mission of free knowledge.
My interests lie at the intersection of engineering, technology, and open communities.
